Voters Approve Hicksville School Budget, Board Members Elected
Residents headed to the polls Tuesday to vote on a school budget and elect board members.

Hicksville residents approved a 2017-18 school budget on Tuesday.
The $134,781,267 budget passed, according to the school district. The budget is a 1.85 percent spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 1.48 percent tax levy increase.

- School Budget: 1176 yes votes, 372 NO votes
- Capital Reserve: 1159 yes votes, 377 no votes
- Gregory Museum: 1150 yes votes, 399 no votes
Voters also elected Sunrita Manjrekar, Kevin J. Carroll and Christopher Amato to the Hicksville Board of Education.
