Voters Approve Hicksville School Budget, Board Members Elected

Hicksville residents headed to the polls Tuesday.

Hicksville residents approved a 2016-17 school budget on Tuesday.

The $132,332,014 budget was approved by a margin of 1,279-406, according to Newsday. The budget is a 1.71 percent increase in spending over the current year and it comes with a 0.18 percent tax levy increase.

Voters also elected the following two candidates, who ran unopposed, to the Hicksville Board of Education:
