Hicksville School Holds First Annual Autism Walk
Students wore blue shirts and walked around the perimeter of the school.
Students and staff members at Dutch Lane Elementary School in the Hicksville Public School District wore blue shirts and participated in a walk around the perimeter of the school as part of its first Autism Awareness Walk. The activity was designed to teach students the basics about the disorder and the importance of raising awareness of it, in addition to encouraging teamwork through a collective effort.
