Hicksville Schools Calendar 2019-20: Vacations, Conferences

HICKSVILLE, NY — Summer break is nearly over for Hicksville students, who head back to school Wednesday. With that, parents and students in Hicksville Public Schools ought to know several important dates for the 2019-2020 school calendar.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

9/3: No school for students (Superintendents Conference Day)

9/4: First day of school for students

9/30-10/1: No school (Rosh Hashanah)

10/9: No school (Yom Kippur)

10/14: No School (Columbus Day)

11/5: No School. (Election Day/Superintendents Conference Day)

11/11: No school (Veterans Day)

11/28 - 11/29: No school (Thanksgiving recess)

12/12: Elementary schools closed after noon.

12/23-1/1: No school (Winter recess)

1/20: No school (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

2/17 - 2/21: No school (President's Day/Winter Recess)

4/9-4/17: No school (Holy Thursday/Good Friday/Spring recess)

5/22-5/25: No school (Memorial Day)

6/12: Elementary schools closed

6/26: Last day of school for students, elementary schools closed PM
