Hicksville Students Compete in Bottle Flipping Contest for Charity

The funds raised will go towards providing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.

Students at Lee Avenue Elementary School in the Hicksville Public School District raised funds for nonprofit organization Charity: Water by participating in a water bottle flipping contest. The school raised $135 for the organization, which is dedicated to providing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Students in grades 2-5 participated in the effort, and first place was awarded to one student at each level: second-grader Angel Loredo, third-grader Divjot Singh Nayar, fourth-grader Karandeep Singh and fifth-grader Dakota Melville.
