Holocaust Survivors, Married Couple To Share Their Story At Sid Jacobson JCC
As the number of Holocaust survivors continues to decline, SJJCC wants to ensure the community hears their stories.
EAST HILS, NY —In honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Sid Jacobson JCC will host a Zikaron BaSalon and welcome a married couple and local Holocaust survivors on Thursday.
A Zikaron BaSalon is a remembrance to bring community members together in an intimate setting, and the SJJCC is hosting the gathering dedicated to collective remembrance.
International Holocaust Remembrance Day is on Jan. 27 and serves as a day to remember those impacted by the Holocaust. Karin and Harry Arlin are Holocaust survivors who will speak at the event and give firsthand testimony about their experience during the horrific events of the Holocaust.
