Man Drove Drunk on LIE With Child in Car: Police

BREAKING: The man was arrested Monday night, police say.

A Syosset man faces felony charges after police say he drove drunk on the Long Island Expressway with his 4-year-old daughter in the car Monday night.

According to authorities, Fei Guo, 45, was driving a 2015 Jeep eastbound on the LIE at Exit 39 in Westbury at 9:06 p.m. He was not staying in his lane, driving across roadway markings and driving below the speed limit, police say.

Guo was pulled over and the officer observed the man’s daughter in a child safety seat in the rear of the vehicle, police say. Guo was arrested at the scene and the child was released to a family member.
No injuries were reported.

Guo was charged with DWI, aggravated driving while intoxicated (Leandra's Law), DWI (BAC+ 0.08) failure to signal lane change, driving across roadway markings, failure to stay in a single lane, minimum speed violation posted limit and failure to notify change of address.

He will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
