The annual event will honor former CN Guidance & Counseling Services CEO, Barbara Bartell Steiner, who worked at the nonprofit organization for 40 years, starting as a receptionist the day the center opened and rising through the ranks to become CEO in 1991. Ms. Bartell transformed the organization from a small outpatient clinic to a multi-service behavioral health organization offering a robust and diverse array of treatment services and supportive programs.
CN Guidance & Counseling Services most recently received state funding from the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services to expand substance addiction services directly into high need areas of Nassau County via a mobile recovery unit, which began operation in February 2019.
