New York Islanders Visit Hicksville Students
The Islanders' mascot Sparky the Dragon was also in attendance.
Representatives of the New York Islanders National Hockey League team visited Lee Avenue Elementary School in the Hicksville Public School District to discuss the importance of teamwork and collaborating to achieve a common goal.
With the Islanders’ mascot Sparky the Dragon in attendance, students learned how they can maximize their efficiency by working together. The assembly reminded students to practice patience and cultivate a willingness to work with their peers to accomplish goals.
