Voter's Guide: Hicksville School Budget, Board Election

What you need to know for election day.

Hicksville residents will vote on the school district’s $132,332,014 proposed budget for the 2016-17 school year on Tuesday, May 17.

The proposal calls for a 1.71 percent increase in spending over the current year and a 0.18 percent tax levy increase, which is within the state’s tax cap.

Two candidates are running unopposed for two open seats on the Hicksville Board of Education.
