• Highland man drowns in Wawarsing, state police say (dailyfreeman.com) — A 47-year-old man from Highland drowned Monday evening in Vernooy Kill Creek in Wawarsing, despite efforts from local fire and EMS crews. State police say the incident remains under investigation and are asking anyone with information to contact their Bureau of Criminal Investigation office in Wawarsing. 
• Ulster Park man faces multiple weapons charges (dailyfreeman.com) — State police from the Highland barracks arrested an Ulster Park man after finding six large-capacity ammunition magazines while investigating an order of protection violation on Broadway. He faces multiple felony weapons charges and a misdemeanor contempt charge, and has been released on his own recognizance pending an appearance in Esopus Town Court.
