The state is dispatching hundreds of crews and thousands of tons of asphalt to repair winter damage, with nearly 40 lane miles of Mohawk Valley roads scheduled for work this month. 
• Utica Notre Dame sophomore throws no-hitter on his birthday: ‘A Greg Maddux-like performance' (syracuse.com) — Holland Patent’s baseball team was held hitless in an 11-0 loss as Utica Notre Dame sophomore Owen Bougourd threw a dominant no-hitter on his 16th birthday. The Golden Knights managed just one walk while Notre Dame’s bats and defense backed up a performance their coach compared to Hall of Famer Greg Maddux.
