• United Way of the Southern Tier awards nearly $200k to senior programs (mytwintiers.com) — Hornell seniors are set to benefit from a new $4,500 United Way grant for a Tri-County YMCA Senior Lunch & Learn program in the city. The funding is part of nearly $200,000 awarded to 15 Chemung and Steuben County agencies to expand services that help older adults stay safe, active, and independent.
   

• Steuben County Declares May, As Mental Health Awareness Month (wlea.net) — Steuben County is marking May as Mental Health Awareness Month and highlighting the many counseling, crisis, and recovery services available to residents, including those in Hornell.
