• State tax software errors disrupt school tax bills in Seneca, Schuyler counties (fingerlakes1.com) — If you live in the Horseheads school district, your upcoming school tax bill may be incorrect or delayed because of calculation errors in New York’s new property tax software. Schuyler and Seneca county officials are pressing the state for fixes, warning that exemptions and equalization rates were misapplied and that some districts may need to adjust collection dates.
