• Man charged with DWI in North Elba (newportdispatch.com) — A Hudson Falls resident has been charged with drunken driving after his pickup reportedly left State Route 86 in North Elba earlier this month. State Police say the 57-year-old man, who allegedly registered a 0.15% blood alcohol content, faces DWI charges with a prior conviction and was briefly held in Essex County Jail before being released.
   

• SUMMIT COUNTY COURT NEWS: New York man sentenced to life for raping, abusing infant daughter in Springfield Twp. (thebarbertongazette.com) — A Hudson Falls woman, Jamilee Hunt, is awaiting trial in Ohio on serious child abuse charges connected to a case where a New York man just received a life sentence for harming his infant daughter. Prosecutors say the abuse occurred at a Springfield Township motel in 2024, and medical staff and police intervened after discovering extensive injuries. Hunt, listed as Santos’ co-defendant, faces similar allegations.
