16th LD Candidate: Deborah Poulos [VIDEO]

Republican hopes to unseat incumbent Democrat Steve Stern in Suffolk County's 16th District legislative race Nov. 8.

A 20-year Dix Hills resident, Poulos the co-founding partner of the law firm Lefkowitz and Poulos in Happauge, said she knows what's going on with the economy in Suffolk County and has a plan to fix it.

In the lasy six years, "I've seen Long Island lose, essentially, what I believe was the best quality of life that we had here," said Poulos at a candidate forum last week in Greenlawn.

Poulos earned her Bachelor's degree from Adelphi University and a law degree from Touro Law School.

She is the co-founder of a Dix Hills Civic Association and a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association. Poulos is also a member of St. Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Shrine Church and serves as an advisor to the Philoptochos Society, a women’s philanthropic organization serving the community.
