20 Scholar Athletes Honored by Town of Huntington

The Town of Huntington recently honored 20 local high school seniors who excel in both academics and athletics.

Two athletes, a boy and a girl, were selected by each local school to be honored at the annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Ceremony, which was held at the Board meeting on Tuesday, June 9.

Town Board members read biographies for each athlete during the ceremony.

The following athletes were honored:

• Cold Spring Harbor High School: Colin O’Neill and Gabrielle McLymont
• Commack High School: Kyle LaMantia and Alyssa Persich
• Elwood John Glenn High School: Ryan Fisenne and Diana Bartolotta
• Half Hollow Hills East High School: Spencer Stein and Ester Chikvashville
• Half Hollow Hills West High School: Joshua Wende and Jennifer Casadonte
• Harborfields High School: Eli Slamowitz and Kiran Magee
• Huntington High School: Justin Loturco and Caitlin Knowles
• Northport High School: James Magnuson and Amy Breitfeller
• St. Anthony’s High School: Jake Giuffrida and Kaitlyn Quinn
• Walt Whitman High School: Jacob Kahrs and Paige Gladstone
