HUNTINGTON, NY — The first day of school is right around the corner. Here are some important dates that Huntington students and parents should be aware of for the 2022-23 academic year.
- Sept. 6: First Day of School
- Sept. 26 and 27: Rosh Hashanah
- Oct. 5: Yom Kippur
- Oct. 10: Columbus Day
- Oct. 21: Homecoming Parade and Football Game
- Nov. 8: Election Day
- Nov. 11: Veteran's Day
- Nov. 15 and 17: K-6 Early Dismissal for Parent/Teacher Conference Day
- Nov. 23 through 25: Schools closed for Thanksgiving
- Dec. 26 through Jan. 2: Holiday Recess
- Jan. 16: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Feb. 20 through Feb. 24: Winter Recess
- April 3 through 7: Spring Recess
- April 21: Eid al-Fitr (Could be converted to instructional day if need be)
- May 29: Memorial Day
- June 19: Juneteenth
- June 23: Last Day of School
