4 Harborfields Students Selected To All-County Jazz Ensemble

GREENLAWN, NY — Four students from Harborfields were chosen for Suffolk County Music Educators' Association All-County Jazz honor ensembles for the 2021-22 school year, according to a news release from the district.

"These groups are extremely select — true all-county programs that do not discriminate by district size or regions within the county — and this recognition serves as a firm reflection on these students’ work ethic and the guidance they have received from their teachers," the school district wrote in its release.

Congratulations to the four students:

SCMEA All-County MS Instrumental (7-9)

Hartley Semmes, trumpet

SCMEA All-County HS Instrumental (10-12)

Peter Hoss, tenor saxophone

SCMEA All-County MS/HS Vocal (7-12)

Jaxie Howlett, alto
Justin Lowenhar, bass
