43 Violations Issued To Huntington-Area Businesses In SLA Inspections: Police

A security guard was arrested, and three establishments were given violations, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — A security guard was arrested, and 43 violations were issued to businesses during State Liquor Authority inspections in Huntington and Huntington Station on Thursday night, Suffolk police said.

Police, with help from the New York State Liquor Authority, the Town of Huntington Fire Marshal and Town of Huntington Code Enforcement, inspected three businesses. The New York State Liquor Authority issued 41 violations and the Town of Huntington Fire Marshal issued two violations.

  • Finley’s of Greene Street, at 43 Green St., Huntington. Twenty SLA violations were issued, police said.
  • The Rust and Gold, at 70 Gerard St., Huntington. Ten SLA violations and two Town Fire Code violations were issued, police said.
  • Instant Replay Sports Bar, at 282 East Jericho Turnpike, Huntington Station. Eleven SLA violations were issued, police said.

A 22-year-old security guard from East Northport, who works at Finley’s of Green Street, was arrested and charged with security guard: no valid registration, a misdemeanor under the New York State General Business Law. Police did not name the security guard. He is scheduled for arraignment at a later date.
