Aramanda and Custodio of Huntington to Box in 14th Fight for Charity Main Event

Long Island Fight for Charity, the nation's only all-volunteer charity boxing event

May 31, 2017 – Gregg Aramanda, Senior Sales and Proposal Director at GE Aviation LLC, in Bohemia and Eliud “The Vortex” Custodio, Director of Design & Technology at ICD Publications, Inc., in Islandia has been selected to be boxers for the 14th Long Island Fight for Charity, the nation’s only all-volunteer charity boxing event. The Main Event which will be held in November at the Long Island Hilton in Melville is expected to attract more than 1,200 people and raise more than $200,000 for local not-for-profit organizations including Long Island Community Chest, The Genesis School and National Foundation for Human Potential.

Residents of Huntington, Gregg chose “Long Range Strike” as his ring name and Eluid chose “The Vortex”. They will be among Long Island’s brightest, toughest and bravest business professionals who will step in the boxing ring this November. The card for the Main Event will include up to 10 bouts, pitting local business professionals against each other for charity.

Gregg Aramanda, a returning Fight for Charity Alumni Boxer explained, “I had a lot of fun the last time I boxed in a Main Event. I want to duplicate the experience now that I’ve lost weight and I am in better condition, along with the chance to do something positive for the community.”

Eluid explained, “I appreciate this unique and exciting way to serve my community. Training in prep for the Main Event is a healthy undertaking. I am a cancer survivor and I take my health and fitness very seriously. This event represents another opportunity to challenge myself and, most importantly, inspire my family and friends.”

“The committee members are impressed with the charity boxers and how dedicated they are to their individual training programs in prep for November. Gregg and Eluid have the stamina and determination required to be an outstanding boxers,” said Jamie Austin, Long Island Fight for Charity Co-Founder.

Tickets for the 14th Main Event are available on-line. VIP Tickets (Reserved Seating) are $250; Super Early Bird $99 (now until June 30); Early Bird Tickets $110 (July 1 until August 31); General Tickets $135 (after August 31) Standing Room with Limited Seating. More than 20 local restaurants will provide delicious food and beverages for the event.

Fight for Charity’s mission is to raise money directly to support local charities including the Long Island Community Chest, The Genesis School and the National Foundation for Human Potential.
