Business Leaders, Politicians to Meet

Annual session puts politicians, business representatives together.

Local and state officials will meet with members of the Long Island business community Friday morning for an update at government activities.

The annual Government Reports Breakfast, sponsored by the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. at the Huntington Crescent Club.

Officials will circulate and meet with groups of business representatives at tables to hear their concerns about issues of concern to the area.

 “Having the opportunity to interact one-on-one with elected officials at our Government Reports Breakfast is something extremely unique for our Chamber members,” said Robert Bontempi, chamber chairman.

“This event provides members the opportunity to discuss the issues that are affecting them face-to-face with a wide representation from local, state and national government. The chamber remains dedicated to serving the needs of its members through flagship events like this.”

Among those scheduled to attend are U.S. Rep. Steve Israel, State Sen. Carl L. Marcellino, State Sen. John Flanagan, Assemb. Andrew Raia, Suffolk County Legislator Steven Stern, Suffolk County Legislator Lou D’Amaro, Town Supervisor Frank Petrone, Town Councilwoman Susan A. Berland, Town Councilman Eugene Cook, Town Councilman Mark Mayoka and Town Councilman Mark Cuthbertson.
