Lesley Goshko and Michele Carlo are two of New York’s finest and funniest storytellers. Spend an hour with them as they share stories of some of their most excellent champion moments. Open mic afterwards—bring a four-minute story about women or art to share. Curated by Robin Bady.

A Manhattan Monologue Slam Champion and contributing blogger for the Huffington Post, Lesley Goshko’s stories and comedy writing have been featured on Sirius XM, WNYC, and New York Metro’s Funny Page. Her cabaret show “An Old-Fashioned Piano Party with Leslie Goshko” is heralded as a Time Out New York Critic’s Pick.

Michele Carlo, a native New Yorker, a Nuyorican, and an author/storyteller/performer, has appeared across the U.S., including on The Moth’s GrandSlam, Mainstage in NYC, and NPR’s Latino USA. Carlo’s acclaimed memoir Fish Out of Agua: My Life On Neither Side of The (Subway) Tracks, published by Citadel/Kensington 2010, recounts growing up in the Bronx in a sad and funny tale.
