Cat people are a special breed. They plan their day around a nap schedule that isn't theirs. And they know the best seat in the house belongs to whoever has whiskers.
At Wahooo Market by John, the gift shop at 328A Main Street in Huntington Village, cat lovers have plenty to purr about. The store's sock wall is stocked with cat socks that are colorful, a little silly, and impossible to look at without smiling.
Wahooo Market is run by Huntington's own John and Mark X. Cronin, the father-and-son team who founded John's Crazy Socks. They opened the shop on a simple mission: make people happy and show what people with differing abilities can do. More than half of their team has a differing ability. The store officially took on the Wahooo Market name on October 1 with a parade through the Village, cake, and ice cream.
Socks That Help Long Island Rescue Cats
Two of the store's cat socks give back close to home. The Animal Rescue Cat Stripes Socks and the Home Is Where My Rescue Cat Is Crew Socks are Charity Socks. 10% of every pair sold goes to North Shore Animal League America in Port Washington, helping more cats and kittens find homes.
The Animal Rescue Cat Stripes Socks feature blue and cream stripes, cartoon cats chasing balls of yarn, and the word LOVE on the toes. One customer sent a pair to her brother, noting that he and his cat "adopted one another." The Home Is Where My Rescue Cat Is socks have earned five stars from every customer who reviewed them. One shopper who lives with two cats reports that her cats like rubbing against them.
A Sock for Every Cat Mood
Cats can be sleepy, mysterious, chatty, and mischievous, sometimes all before breakfast. Wahooo Market has a sock for each mood:

Cat Loaf Women's Crew Socks celebrate the classic pose: paws tucked, tail wrapped, a perfect fuzzy loaf of contentment.

Black Cat Crew Socks show a sleek black cat in a long stretch on a deep red background, a fashion statement for October and beyond.

Meow Cat Crew Socks feature plump, comfortable cats lounging on burgundy, with "meow" sprinkled everywhere.

Devilish Cats Women's Crew Socks let frisky felines show their devilish side in bold red. They're a natural for Halloween, though cat people know mischief is a year-round sport.

Cat socks run $13.99 to $15.99 a pair. With Halloween around the corner and the holidays close behind, they make an easy gift for the cat person on your list. Everyone has one.

Wahooo Market by John Brings the Joy to the Long Island Fall Festival

Last Spring, John’s Crazy Socks came home to Huntington Village. Now, John and Mark Cronin, the father-and-son team that founded John’s Crazy Socks, have reimagined and rebranded their store as the Wahooo Market by John. We offer more than socks; you will find apparel, jewelry, home items, food (candy, cookies, and coffee), and fabulous gift products. You join the fun at 328A Main Street in Huntington Village.
Shopping at the Wahooo Market by John is an experience. Yes, you will find products you love, but just stepping into the store will make you feel happy. Visitors tell us that the store makes them smile and lifts their spirits. You will meet John and our Sock Wranglers and help us employ people with differing abilities.
John’s Crazy Socks Gave Us a Foundation. Wahooo Market by John is New and Offers More
Wahooo Market grows directly out of ten years of building John's Crazy Socks. When we started that business, it was just the two of us, John and Mark, selling socks to make people happy. Over time, we expanded that mission to include hiring people with differing abilities and showing what they can do.
Now we're expanding again, moving beyond socks to include more products you will love, products for yourself and to give as gifts. It's still the two of us, father and son, leading the business. We want to reach more people and have a bigger impact.
Showing What People with Differing Abilities Can Do
As we grew John's Crazy Socks, we began hiring people with differing abilities. Today, more than half of our colleagues have a differing ability. With Wahooo Market, we want to create more jobs and reach more people, continuing to hire people with differing abilities as we grow.
At Wahooo Market, we sell gift items made by people with differing abilities, or by organizations that employ them. We carry books, some written by us, that are written by, for, and about people with differing abilities.
By opening a retail store, we've created a platform for bringing people together. We employ more people in more roles. We offer tours because it's important for people with differing abilities to see people like themselves working, it gives them hope and encouragement.
And there is so much more we can do with our store. We hold birthday parties. We hold information sessions on how to find a job or start a business. We hold parties and special events. It has already become a gathering place and an important part of the Huntington Village community.
Come for a visit. We are located at 328A Main Street in Huntington Village. Look for the sign out front. Come through the gate, walk down the short path, and enter a world full of joy.

Wahooo Market by John: Creating Joy in Huntington

Last Spring, John’s Crazy Socks came home to Huntington Village. Now, John and Mark Cronin, the father-and-son team that founded John’s Crazy Socks...

A strong, dependable roof plays an essential role in protecting your property from rain, wind, snow, moisture, and seasonal weather conditions. Homeowners and business owners need reliable roofing solutions to maintain structural integrity, energy efficiency, and long-term property value. When searching for a roofing company long island property owners can trust, it is important to consider experience, workmanship, roofing materials, and the range of services available.
Professional roofing contractors can identify problems that may not always be visible from the ground. Missing shingles, damaged flashing, deteriorated roofing materials, clogged drainage areas, and small leaks can eventually lead to costly repairs if ignored. Routine inspections and timely maintenance help property owners address these concerns before they develop into more serious problems.

Complete Residential and Commercial Roofing Solutions

Every roofing project requires careful planning and attention to detail. Professional roofers can evaluate the existing roof, identify damaged areas, and recommend an appropriate solution based on the building’s condition and roofing system. Services may include roof inspections, roof repairs, leak detection, shingle replacement, roof maintenance, and complete roof replacement.
Choosing a qualified roofing company in long island residents can depend on can make it easier to handle both planned improvements and unexpected roofing concerns. Asphalt shingles remain a popular option for residential properties because they offer durability, versatility, and a wide selection of styles. Commercial buildings may require different roofing systems designed to accommodate low-slope or flat roof structures.
Roof repairs should also receive prompt attention. Water intrusion can damage insulation, ceilings, walls, and other structural components. Addressing damaged shingles, flashing issues, roof penetrations, and drainage concerns early can help protect the building while potentially extending the service life of the existing roof.

Protect Your Property With Quality Roofing Work

A roof replacement is a significant property improvement, so choosing suitable materials and experienced professionals is important. Quality installation supports weather resistance, proper ventilation, effective drainage, and reliable long-term performance. A well-maintained roofing system can also improve curb appeal and help protect the overall investment in your property.
When comparing contractors, property owners should consider licensing and insurance requirements, experience, communication, warranties, project estimates, and knowledge of local roofing needs. Working with a professional roofing company long island homeowners and businesses can turn to helps ensure that roofing projects receive careful evaluation and appropriate solutions.
Regular roof inspections are especially valuable after severe weather. Strong winds, heavy rain, snow, ice, and changing temperatures can gradually affect roofing materials. Preventive maintenance allows property owners to identify potential vulnerabilities and plan repairs before additional damage occurs.
For homeowners and businesses in Huntington, NY seeking professional roofing services, consider City Island Roofing. Whether your property needs a roof inspection, repairs, maintenance, or a complete roof replacement, City Island Roofing can provide solutions focused on protecting your building, improving roof performance, and supporting lasting results.City Island Roofing 223 Wall St, Huntington, NY 11743, United States (631) 741 6300 https://cityislandroofingny.com/
