Looks like Northport Village may get a brewery after all.

Cow Harbor Beer Co., a small craft brewery, plans to move to 19 Scudder Avenue sometime in spring of 2015, according to the company’s Facebook page.

The site is the same location that up until recently was claimed by Centerport-based Blind Bat Brewery, which planned to move there until negotiations fell apart back in June. Blind Bat principal Paul Dlugokencky, who had spent more than $5,000 on rezoning, wanted to be given the first opportunity to purchase the site if property owner Lee Holcomb decided to sell, according to Newsday. But Holcomb’s attorney advised against that stipulation, and the deal ultimately fell apart.

Now, Dlugokencky is suing Holcomb in attempt to recoup the money he spent rezoning, according to Newsday.

Still, Dlugokencky – who is reportedly looking at sites in Huntington Station and Patchogue, according to Newsday – seems to be taking the news about Cow Harbor Beer’s Scudder Avenue move in stride.

Good Luck, Cow Harbor Beer Co.,” he wrote on Cow Harbor Beer Company’s Facebook page.

“Thanks Paul,” Cow Harbor Beer Company wrote back. “We look forward to being neighbors with you. Happy Brewing.”

Meanwhile, Blind Bat Brewery will be at Northport’s Farmers’ Market on Saturday, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m., at at the Cow Harbor Parking lot at the foot of Main Street overlooking Northport Harbor.
