- A Melville family's dog was saved after falling into a cesspool Wednesday night. Duke, a black Labrador mix, fell down a 12-foot open cesspool that was being serviced. When firefighters arrived, Duke was desperately trying to stay afloat. He was successfully saved with the help of multiple departments. (Patch)

- Two men are wanted for burglarizing a Commack home on Oct. 13. The men got in the back of the home on Cecily Lane and stole cash, jewelry and a laptop. Police are asking anyone with information to call Crimestoppers at 1-800-221-TIPS. (News 12 Bronx)
