Dog's Life Saved After Ball Gets Stuck In His Throat In Suffolk

The dog owners were unable to get the ball out and called 911, prompting a quick response from Suffolk police.

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — A dog's life was saved after a ball became lodged in his throat.

Kody, a 1-year-old male, got a ball stuck in his throat around 12:20 p.m. Thursday. Kody's owners, a couple from Lewis Court, Huntington Station, were unable to get the ball out and called 911. Second Precinct police officers responded and brought Kody to the West Hills Animal Hospital.

A veterinarian was able to get the ball out and Kody is feeling much better, Suffolk police said.

"Great job to all involved to help save his life!" police wrote on Facebook.
