For Black History Month: Discovering Artists: Betye Saar

One of America’s premier assemblage artists, Betye Saar, has been creating inspired pieces since the early 1960s. Saar’s work has transformed keepsakes, old photographs, dried flowers, fabric scraps, and other materials into memory boxes. Create your own memory box with found objects!  Children are welcome to bring any objects or pictures from home that they would like to include in their project.
