Gallery Exhibit: African-American Historic Sites

In celebration of Black History Month, the Town of Huntington African American Historic Designation Council, in collaboration with the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Huntington, presents a Huntington African American History Exhibit, beginning February 1st and running through February 29th.

Opening reception is Sunday, February 5th, at noon in the UUFH Gallery.  Visiting hours the remainder of the month are 10 a.m. -3 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Sundays.

The Exhibit features photos and narratives of the Coltrane Home in Dix Hills, the Booker T. Washington Huse in Fort Salonga, and the Bethel AME and Evergreen Missionary Baptist Churches in Huntington.

Irene Moore, Chair of the AAHDC, and other members of the Council, will be present at the reception to welcome and talk with visitors.
