The Huntington Historical Society is pleased to present its annual SHEEP TO SHAWL FESTIVAL on Sunday May 6th from noon to 4:00 PM on the grounds of the Dr. Daniel W. Kissam House Museum, 434 Park Avenue, Huntington.

 

Celebrate spring as we present sheep shearing, llamas, angoras and other seasonal delights throughout the event.  Enjoy traditional textile demonstrations such as weaving, spinning, rug hooking, felting, and lace making.  Children can create old fashioned crafts and play time honored games all day long.  Enjoy terrific music and tours of the historic Kissam House Museum which includes a newly installed exhibit entitled “Ladies at Leisure: One Hundred Years Ago”.   For questions or further information please phone 631-427-7045 extension 403.
