Wild Edibles Centerport Walking Tour

You are invited to join us at New York Thrives in Huntington for this, the second of the three different opportunities on this date to learn from renowned naturalist and vegan cook extraordinaire "Wildman" Steve Brill.

Mother Nature has supplied us with an almost endless supply of gourmet and medicinal treats that most people in suburbia just walk right by. During this second session, Steve will be guiding us on a 90 minute (more or less the park is small) walking tour of a local Huntington area public park to see what treats we may find at this mixed woodland/marshland venue.

We are planning this walk to take place at the Phragmites Park - which I'm sure you have never heard of, because it is small and easy to miss. It is located on route 25A aka Fort Salonga Road in Centerport, NY across from the Betty Allen Twin Ponds Nature Park just west of Stony Hollow Road and "The Shack".

Even though it comes up when you google Phragmites Park Centerport - for some reason patch wont let me post it above in "the place" field so I have entered the New York Thrives Store address instead.  You can caravan from the New York Thrives Store if you arrive by 12:45Pm.

There is a suggested donation of $20 for this single session - all three sessions of the day for $30

Payment in advance is not required but a reservation is. Send an email to register@nythrives.com or call 631-923-0018

Please "like" New York Thrives on Facebook - Facebook.com/nythrives and follow us on Twitter Twitter.com/nythrives to keep up on all the events and happenings we either hear of or will be involved with.
