Woman Intentionally Set Huntington Station Fire: Police
Police said Deborah Yeary set her Huntington Station apartment on fire, causing "severe" damage to nearby buildings.

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — A woman set her Huntington Station apartment ablaze Tuesday morning, Suffolk police said. The apartment, at 1562 New York Ave., is connected to other apartments, which sit above a row of businesses.
Deborah Yeary, 57, was charged with second-degree arson by Suffolk Arson Section Detectives. Yeary started the fire at 1:45 a.m., police said. No one was injured.
Some businesses and apartments were "severely damaged" and three families were displaced, fire officials told News 12 Long Island.

Five adults and six children escaped the fire and were evaluated at the scene, according to Steve Silverman, public information officer.
Huntington Manor firefighters battled the blaze with help from units of the Melville, Huntington and Greenlawn fire departments. The fire was brought under control in about 90 minutes. The Huntington Community First Aid Squad provided EMS support, and the Cold Spring Harbor Fire Department handled standby coverage. Units were under the command of Huntington Manor Fire Chief Jon Hoffmann with First Assistant Chief Chuck Brady.

Businesses in the complex include Estelina's Beauty Spa, Centennial Homes Realty, Main Divine Grocery Store and Texture 7 Hair.
