Harborfields HS Senior Named Heisman Scholarship Program Winner

GREENLAWN, NY — Nahrahel Louis, a senior soccer player at Harborfields High School, was named a School Winner in the 2023 Heisman High School Scholarship program, according to the school district.

Louis earned the designation by being a leader, excelling in the classroom and on the field,
and for his work in the community.

“I don't believe there is a more deserving student-athlete to receive this award than Nahrahel,” Athletic Director Rob Franco said via news release. “His high academic achievement, his
involvement, and his leadership role in the many extracurricular activities he participates in make him the perfect candidate to be recognized. Nahrahel participates in many community awareness projects and has a deep commitment to leave a positive impact on the people and world around him.”

The Heisman High School Scholarship competition, awarded by the Heisman Trophy Trust, honors the nation’s most accomplished, community-minded high school senior athletes. Thousands of high school scholar-athletes graduating in the Class of 2023 applied for the program, with more than 5,700 named School Winners.

School Winners will continue on for the chance to become State Winners, National Finalists or National Winners. State Winners receive a $1,000 college scholarship, National Finalists receive a
$2,000 college scholarship and the male and female National Winners each receive a
$10,000 college scholarship.
