Harry Chapin Food Bank and Humanitarian Center Opens in Huntington Station
The center supplies emergency food household supplies, personal care products and community support services.

A ribbon-cutting in Huntington Station launched the opening of The Harry Chapin Food Bank and Humanitarian Center of Friday.
Officials turned out Friday morning to mark the the opening of the organization’s third community-based program on Long Island.
Located at 220 Broadway in Huntington Station, the center provides emergency food, household supplies, personal care products and community support services to residents experiencing hunger or food insecurity, or both. It also houses the organization’s government affairs and social advocacy programs, veterans outreach services and Vets Work employment project.
