• Video shows dogs attacking jogger, 2 others in Long Island neighborhood (cbsnews.com) — A Dix Hills jogger, her husband, and a good Samaritan were mauled by two loose pit bulls, prompting a response from Huntington's Animal Control Division and raising safety concerns in the neighborhood. The Town of Huntington is offering traps and spay-neuter services, but residents argue many cats are domesticated and should be adopted instead of returned outdoors as the Suffolk County SPCA continues its investigation.
