The Heckscher Museum of Art Presents DRAW OUT!
Free Community Arts Festival! September 22, 2019

Huntington, NY – Get ready to DRAW OUT! The Heckscher Museum of Art invites all ages to the Museum and outside in beautiful Heckscher Park during this lively, free community event. Now in its 12th year, artists’ demonstrations, performances, games and hands-on art projects will inspire fun and creativity! For even more excitement, ten Huntington area cultural partners have joined The Heckscher Museum in presenting engaging activities for all! Join us Sunday, September 22, 2019, 12 to 4 PM.
There are tons of things to do! Paint by Heckscher Pond; create a mark-making mural with artist Krista Biendbach; make a “POETree” drawing with artist Barbara Roux; sketch from a live model; play games with Main Street Board Game Café, and much more! Live Music on the Terrace by Dead Ahead.
The Heckscher Museum of Art welcomes 10 local organizations to DRAW OUT! each offering inviting art, games, and projects for everyone. Participating organizations include Art League of Long Island; Huntington Art Center; Huntington Arts Council; Huntington Center for the Performing Arts; Huntington Fine Arts; Huntington Historical Society; Huntington Public Library; Vanderbilt Museum; Walt Whitman Birthplace Association; and the Whaling Museum & Education Center of Cold Spring Harbor.

Admission to the Museum is free during DRAW OUT! Docents will be in the galleries to talk about the exhibitions currently on view: Mort Kunstler: “The Godfather” of Pulp Fiction Illustrators and A Brush with HerStory: Paintings by Gabriela Gonzalez Dellosso.

About The Heckscher Museum of Art
The Heckscher Museum of Art is located in scenic Heckscher Park in Huntington, within walking distance of shops and award-winning restaurants. The Museum provides a dynamic schedule of changing exhibitions on American art, inspiring education experiences for students and an exciting series of public programs for all ages. *Huntington Township Residents admitted FREE Wednesdays after 2:00 pm and Saturdays before 1:00 pm. Proof of residency required.
Free Admission for Active Military Personnel, Veterans, and Family
Available to any bearer of a Geneva Convention Common Access Card (CAC), a DD Form 1173, a DD Form 1173-1, a Veteran’s DD-214, or a Veteran ID card and a driver’s license. Includes active military personnel or Veteran and up to five (5) family members.
