How Town Of Huntington Residents Can Stay Cool

With high temperatures expected, here are a few ways residents of the town can beat the heat.

HUNTINGTON, NY — With scorchers in the foreseeable forecast, and more hot weather sure to come, Town of Huntington residents may look to escape the heat. Here are a few ways you can stay cool this summer:

  • Dix Hills Park Pool: The pool, at 575 Vanderbilt Parkway, is open to residents only, with a reservation needed. Residents can make reservations for the Dix Hills pool here.
  • Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo Memorial Spray Park in Elwood Park: The spray park is open to town residents only, and a reservation is no longer required. The spray park is open to residents with Resident Recreation Photo ID Cards, according to the town website. Elwood Park is at 10 Fair Oaks Court, Elwood.
  • Dix Hills Ice Rink Cooling Center: Residents can use the lobby of the ice rink to cool off. The rink is at 575 Vanderbilt Parkway.
