Huntington 2023-24 School Budget Passes Easily

HUNTINGTON, NY — Residents within the boundaries of the Huntington School District on Tuesday voted to pass the 2023-24 school budget by a margin of 1,184 votes to 192.

The district's budget is $146,347,091, up 2.36 percent from last year's. The tax levy is $113,711,800, up 0.88 percent.

For the Huntington Board of Education, Xavier Palacios (963 votes) and Kelly Donovan (875) defeated challenger Amaru Jones (651). Terms are three years.
