Huntington Adoptable Pets Of The Week: Andy, Adeline, Alesia And Aiden
The alliterative kittens were rescued from a "terrible situation" by a cat rescue and placed in foster care. Would you like to meet them?

HUNTINGTON, NY — Andy, Adeline, Alesia and Aiden are the Grateful Paw Cat Shelter's Huntington Pets of the Week.
Andy, Adeline, and Alesia were found through an ad in a local paper that read "kittens for free," said Debbi Larkin, president of the shelter.
"Of course we jumped at the opportunity to save them from their terrible situation and place them directly in foster care," Larkin said. The home they were rescued from only wanted to keep their mama (and she was less than 2 years old) but did not want them."

The cats, who are just 6 weeks old, have some time before they are available for adoption. The rescue is targeting mid-April.
In the meantime, Aiden was brought into the shelter with his mom, who was only 1 year old. He was a few weeks older than the others, but the rescue decided he could use some playmates, Larkin said.

The four kittens are in one of the rescue's "best" foster homes and are having a great time, Larkin said.
"They not only have one another to play with, but there are older cats in this house and two dogs who want nothing more than to take care of these cuties. They all seize every opportunity they can to try to escape from the accommodations so they can run with the 'big boys and girls.' They entertain themselves and all who are watching."
Andy is all black with white tips on his fur, Adeline is black with a white patch on her chest, Alesia is a torti with an attitude, and Aiden is all black, Larkin said. All four have been vetted, tested negative for both FELV/FIV, had their first set of vaccinations, litter box trained and all will be spayed or neutered before they are available for adoption. All are set to visit the shelter on March 18 for its St. Patricks Day Celebration Open House.
If you are interested in meeting any of the four kittens, you may call the shelter at 631-757-4517, emailcats@laphuntington.org, visit the Facebook page or visit at the Grateful Paw Cat Shelter.
The rescue is at 3 Verleye Ave., East Northport, and visiting hours are Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
