Huntington Boating Safety Initiatives To Be Announced

HUNTINGTON, NY--Boating safety initiatives, both underway and on the horizon, will be discussed at a press conference at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 16.

Also announced was the Town of Huntington's Boating Safety Class on Saturday, May 18 at Town Hall to signal the start of Huntington’s Boating Safety Week. May, June, July and August are the busiest times for boating on Long Island.

Thursday's press conference will be held by Huntington Town Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci, Senator James Gaughran, the Town Harbormaster and local officials. It's located at the Huntington Town Harbormaster at 53 New York Ave., Halesite, behind the Halesite Fire Department. The Huntington Harbor will serve as the backdrop.
