Huntington Businesswoman Honored for Bringing Equal Rights to the Workforce
The resident was one of seven women honored for carrying the torch for equality in the business world.

A Huntington resident was one of seven women who were recently honored for being a successful woman in the business world.
Lisa Sicurelli is the co-founder and managing partner of Ambassador Abstract and oversees all operations for the firm. She has over a decade of residential real estate and title insurance experience under her belt and has helped Ambassador Abstract has become one of the main title companies in New York State.

“Thank you for recognizing me as a 2015 Achiever, and thank you for the women – past, present and future – that have carried the torch for equality,“ Sicurelli said.
Sicurelli and these women were honored by LI Center for Business and Professional Women at the 36thAnnual Achievers’ Awards on Wednesday at the Fox Hollow Inn in Woodbury.

The 2015 Achievers’ Award honorees included:
- Anne N. Brigis— president and CEO of YMCA of Long Island
- Lina Gottesman— president of Altus Metal, Marble and Wood
- Yvonne Grant— president and CEO of Girl Scouts of Suffolk County
- Filomena Lombardi— president of Farm to Table Catering by Filomena
- Jane Rubinstein— Ms. Senior New York State, 2014
- Natalie Karp and Rona Loshak— founding partners of Karp Loshak Long Term Care Insurance Solutions
Recognizing these women for their achievements will help put men and women on equal footing and will encourage women to take risks, Sicurelli said.
The LI Center for Business and Professional Women’s Achievers’ Awards honor women who embody “the advancement of women’s equal participation, leadership and employment in business and industry through networking opportunities, member education, community involvement, and/or personal and professional development.”
