- John W. Engeman Theater in Northport announce the cast and creative team for Beauty and the Beast. The show will begin on Saturday, Sept. 24 and run through Oct. 30. You can purchase tickets either by calling, going to the box office, or online. Click the link to see the full cast of the show. (Broadway World)
- Duo steals electric Segway scooter from garage of Plainview home. The burglary took place on Sept. 15 at around 4:45 a.m. at a Lillian Dr. home. The scooter was valued at nearly $900, and police are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-224-TIPS. (Daily Voice)
- Temperatures will drop 20 degrees from the beginning to the end of the work week. Take a look at the weather report for your work week, with Monday being very hot and humid with temperatures in the mid 80s. Temperatures will cool down by the end of the week and Friday's high will only be 65 degrees. The best chance of consistent rain comes Thursday morning but otherwise it will be a beautiful week.
