- Hart Bus Free Fare Week begins on Monday. In an effort to get more citizens to ride HART, the rides will be free from Monday through Saturday. “The Town of Huntington is a leader in sustainable and climate-smart initiatives and HART Bus Free Fare Week is another way to go green while simultaneously reducing commuting costs,” said Supervisor Ed Smyth. (Huntington Now)
- Residents are concerned with nearby development affecting Crab Meadow Beach. They are urging the Town of Huntington to take action in order to protect the beach. Crab Meadow is one of the last remaining salt marshes on the north shore of the Long Island Sound and holds a variety of wildlife. (WSHU)
- Cold Spring Harbor School District and community come together to remember 9/11. The school held "Friday Night Lights," which took place before the football game on Sept. 9 at the high school. "Our community takes great pride in commemorating this day as a sign of solidarity and a reminder that we should not take for granted the freedoms we are granted in this country," Superintendent of Schools Jill Gierasch said in a statement.
