Here are the top 3 stories today in Huntington:

  1. Check out this $3.9M Oyster Bay home. The property located at 10 Redmond Ln. is 7900 square feet and comes with a beautiful pool and backyard. See photos and more information on the listing in the link. (Patch)
  2. Major mafia gambling takedown includes Commack man. 9 men were charged with racketeering and illegal gambling offenses, with all being arrested except Joseph Rutigliano, 63, of Commack. He is on the run as of this writing. “Today’s arrests of members from two La Cosa Nostra crime families demonstrate that the Mafia continues to pollute our communities with illegal gambling, extortion, and violence while using our financial system in service to their criminal schemes,” said United States Attorney Breon Peace. “The defendants tried to hide their criminal activity by operating from behind the cover of a coffee bar, a soccer club, and a shoe repair shop, but our Office and our law enforcement partners exposed their illegal operations.” (http://www.huntingtonNow.com)
  3. Classic films returning to Cinema Arts Centre. The Godfather, Lawrence of Arabia, and other classic films will kick off on Aug. 30 with The Godfather leading the way. The films will be screened as new digital restorations, with many films celebrating the anniversaries of their release. (LongIsland.com)
