- Firefighters respond to small blaze at the Syosset Comfort Inn. The fire started from a dryer vent in the laundry room and was extinguished by firefighters with no injuries or structural damage. The building did sustain extensive water damage. (LongIsland.com)
- Man parked behind Sno-Haus in Huntington Station robbed of vehicle at gunpoint. The man was parked behind the business at 2 W. Jericho Turnpike Monday night at 11:45 p.m. He was approached by three males who displayed a gun and demanded his car. Police are looking for the suspects and ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-221-TIPS. (Patch)
