  1. Spring Long Island Restaurant Week: Who's participating in and around Huntington. It runs from Sunday, April 24 to May 1, with this Restaurant Week designed for to-go meals. Some restaurants will still be offering prix fixe menus in-house, and we've compiled a list for you of who's offering what. (Huntington Patch)
  2. Two rescued from burning East Northport home. A couple on Penfield Drive was saved by first responders when their home was fully engulfed in flames early Friday morning. "The officers placed a ladder against a window of the house, climbed the ladder, lifted a woman out of the window, and carried her to safety. The woman's husband was freed from the house by members of the Commack Fire Department." The homeowners were not injured. (Patch)
  3. YAAAS Tea opens its second Suffolk location in Huntington. Bubble tea has become extremely popular as of late, and YAAAS tea has made a success of their craft. The establishment originally opened in Farmingdale and just recently opened its newest location right here in Huntington Village. YAAAS Tea not only offers bubble tea but has coffee and desserts as well. Owner Kelly Zhou said, "Our goal is to bridge cultures and to deliver the most authentic and delicious Asian treats in the American market.” YAAAS Tea is located at 347 New York Ave. (Greater Long Island)
