Huntington Hospital to Increase Security Measures
A new visitor identification system will be implemented by the end of the year.

Huntington Hospital recently announced it will be installing a new visitor management identification system to improve security measures.
With the new stations, all adult visitors will be required to present a government-issued ID upon arriving at the stations, which will be located at main entry points in the hospital.
The person’s ID will be scanned into the new system to create a stick-on visitor pass that visitors can place on their clothing. The entire process will take only about one minute.

Northwell Health believes this system will provide the safest environment possible for patients, visitors and staff.
“We appreciate everyone’s cooperation with this new system, which will provide an additional level of security to ensure the safety of our patients, their loved ones and staff,” Randy Howard, vice president of operations at Huntington Hospital, said in a press release. “The one minute that a person spends going through this process will help make for a more secure environment in the hospital.”
