Marissa’s mother Risa is an Emergency Department nurse at Huntington Hospital and her father Domenick is a fireman with FDNY and a former Huntington Manor fire chief. They both are volunteers with the Huntington Manor Fire Department.

Earlier this year, a GoFundMe was created for Marissa’s family to celebrate the time they had left to spend together. All donations went toward covering their living expenses while the family took time off from work to spend every waking moment with their daughter.
