Huntington Militia Re-Enacts Declaration Of Independence News: Report
The militia re-enacted the reading of the document and the burning of an effigy of King George III, according to the report.
HUNTINGTON, NY — The Huntington Militia on Sunday re-enacted the arrival of the news that the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776, with the firing of a musket, rifle, and cannon to go with a reading of the declaration. An effigy of King George III being burned was also re-enacted.
