Huntington Police Blotter: 2 Stole Jeans From Saks Fifth Avenue
The two had bags lined with aluminum foil and duct tape meant to bypass security, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from Aug. 6 through Aug. 12.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Jose Mireles-Farina, 28, of the Bronx, stole five pairs of jeans from Saks Fifth Avenue in Huntington Station on Aug. 12, police said. Mireles-Farina possessed two gift paper bags lined with duct tape and aluminum foil designed to bypass security, police said. He was arrested on Aug. 12 and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $1,000 and criminal possession of anti-security item.
- Lorena Hernandez-Hernandez, 23, of the Bronx, stole five pairs of jeans from Saks Fifth Avenue in Huntington Station on Aug. 12, police said. Hernandez-Hernandez possessed two gift paper bags lined with duct tape and aluminum foil designed to bypass security, police said. She was arrested on Aug. 12 and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $1,000 and criminal possession of anti-security item.
